Trip Dashboard — Privacy Policy

Trip Dashboard is an offline-first, private travel planner. It has no user accounts,
no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. This policy explains the few cases where
data leaves your device, and confirms that in every case it is at your explicit action and is not
collected by us.
What we store — and where
Your trips, saved places, day plans, expenses, notes, photos and attachments are stored
only on your device (in the app's local storage and files). We operate no server
that receives or holds this data. Uninstalling the app deletes it; use the in-app Backup export to
keep a copy.
Location
If you grant location access, it is used on your device only — to sort places by
distance and to optionally notify you when you walk near a saved place. Your location is never
uploaded to us or to anyone.
Features that connect to the internet (only when you use them)
- Cloud tab. Downloads public trip files from a public GitHub repository. If you
choose to publish a trip, it is uploaded to that public repository using a personal access
token that you provide and that is stored in your device Keychain — we never see it.
- AI Concierge. When you generate a trip, the city names and your request are sent
to the AI provider you select (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) using an API key you
provide, stored in your device Keychain. That request is governed by the chosen provider's own
privacy policy. We do not receive your key, your prompt, or the results.
- Currency conversion. Fetches daily public exchange rates from open.er-api.com.
No personal or expense data is sent — only the request for the rate table.
- Maps & shared links. Opening a place opens Apple/Google Maps. When you share a
Google Maps link into the app, the app fetches that public link's page to read the place's name and
address. Map tiles and place hours are provided by Apple / Google under their terms.
What we do NOT do
No accounts. No analytics or usage tracking. No advertising or ad identifiers. No selling or
sharing of personal data. No background collection of any kind.
Children
The app is a general-audience travel tool and does not knowingly collect any personal information
from anyone, including children.
